Composition

·        Ren Shen (, Ginseng Root)  9g

·        Bai Zhu (, Atractylodes Rhizome)  9g

·        Fu Ling (茯苓, Poria)  9g

·        Zhi Gan Cao (炙甘草, Honey-Fried Licorice Root)  6g

·        Chen Pi (, Aged Tangerine Peel)  3g

·        Ban Xia (半夏, Pinellia Rhizome)  4.5g

 

Functions

Tonifies Qi, strengthens the Spleen, dries dampness, and resolves phlegm.

 

Indications

For Spleen and Stomach Qi deficiency with dampness and phlegm, manifesting as:

·        Decreased appetite

·        Loose stools

·        Chest and epigastric fullness

·        Nausea and vomiting

 

Preparation

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder and take as a single dose. Add two dried dates and three slices of fresh ginger. Decoct with freshly drawn water and take as a decoction.

 

Modern Usage

Chronic gastritis, gastric ulcers, and duodenal ulcers associated with Spleen and Stomach Qi deficiency.
